The second case involved a patient who died on December 29. It was classified as an epidemiologically significant case that had not yet reached a conclusion.

All of the deaths were associated with a cluster infection at the nursing home, where 21 individuals tested positive for COVID-19.

The first patient was completely vaccinated in late October after receiving two doses, while the second was fully vaccinated in May.

According to the most recent figure, the government recorded 3,129 more cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 642,207. For two days, the daily average remained below 4,000.

Thus far, there have been 1,318 Omicron variant infections, including 703 imported cases and 615 domestic infections, an increase of 111 from the previous day.
