As of Sunday, a total of 2,756,810 individuals, or 87.6 percent of the country’s adolescent population aged 12 to 17, had completed their Covid-19 vaccination (Jan 2).

As of Sunday, a total of 2,756,810 individuals, or 87.6 percent of the country’s adolescent population aged 12 to 17, had completed their Covid-19 vaccination (Jan 2).

According to the Health Ministry’s CovidNow portal, a total of 2,848,312 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine, or 90.5 percent of the group.

In the adult population, a total of 22,860,910 individuals, or 97.7 percent, have received the completed vaccine doses, while 23,152,917 individuals, or 98.9 percent, have received at least one dose.

Meanwhile, 94,040 vaccination doses were administered on Sunday, including 1,264 first doses, 1,340 second doses, and 91,436 booster doses.

This takes the total number of vaccine doses dispensed as part of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 57,841,435, including 6,422,084 booster doses.

In a similar issue, the Health Ministry’s GitHub site recorded 19 fatalities on Sunday, including five in Selangor, four in Terengganu, three in Johor, two in Sabah, and one each in Kuala Lumpur, Kedah, Kelantan, Melaka, and Negeri Sembilan.
