The need to undergo Covid-19 screening test and the complete vaccination requirement have increased visitors’ confidence in keeping them safe while travelling,” the statement read.

The survey was conducted in Langkawi from September 30 to October 6 to coincide with the reopening of the resort island to domestic tourists.

It measured satisfaction with the trip, services (accommodation, tour operators, and airlines), and confidence in Covid-19-related aspects, including health and safety.

According to the report, most people go to escape being stranded at home and like to relax in Langkawi.

The survey also found that once the travel ban was lifted, respondents wanted to travel to resort islands like Pulau Redang and Pulau Perhentian.
