Fully Vaccinated Parents May Still Bring COVID Virus Home To Their Unvaccinated Children
Parents should be aware that being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 does not guarantee that they will not pass the virus on to their children.
Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, the Minister in charge of Covid-19 matters in Sabah, claimed that new daily cases involved almost 70% of those who had been completely vaccinated, implying that parents believe they are resistant to the virus.

“However, they must remember that they can still transmit the virus to their children who are not inoculated against Covid-19," he said in his daily Covid-19 briefing on Tuesday (Jan 4).
He said Sabah had 258 new cases on Tuesday, with 17 percent of them being children under the age of 12.
According to Masidi, this is a rise of 97 cases over Monday’s total of 161 new cases.
“As for the fully vaccinated, they make up about 70% of the total new cases on January 4,” he said.
Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, and Tuaran have the most cases of the affected districts, with 49, 32, and 22 cases, respectively.
On January 4, no additional clusters were reported.
