Close contact tracing identified an additional 39 individuals who were infected with the virus.

Masidi said, however, that Sabah’s new cases have remained constant, with 161 new cases recorded on Monday (Jan 3), four less than the 165 reported Sunday (Jan 2).

He said that the city maintained the largest number of new cases with 37, followed by Penampang, Kota Belud, and Tuaran with 19 each, Ranau (17 cases), and Keningau (12 cases).

Masidi said that of the remaining 27 districts, 11 districts reported single-digit new cases, while the other 10 districts reported no new cases.
