As of Wednesday, a total of 25,529,153 people, or 97.4 percent of the adult population in the country, had received their Covid-19 vaccination (Dec 15).

As of Wednesday, a total of 25,529,153 people, or 97.4 percent of the adult population in the country, had received their Covid-19 vaccination (Dec 15).

According to the Health Ministry’s CovidNow webpage, 23,110,692 individuals have received at least a dose of the vaccine, representing 98.7 percent of the adult population of 23,102,672 individuals.

Meanwhile, 86.7 percent of the teenage population, or 2,729,919 people, have received all vaccine doses, while 89.9 percent, or 2,829,924 individuals, have received at least one dose.

Yesterday, a record of 168,716 doses of the vaccine were administered, including 4,246 first doses, 5,125 second doses, and 159,345 booster doses.

This takes the total number of vaccine doses distributed under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 55,383,495 doses, including 4,107,585 booster doses.
