Are you using the New Year as an opportunity to give yourself an annual health seminar? I would have my whiteboard session in the past, where I would make goals and explore ways to improve myself in the next year. These included daily exercise, weight loss, eating out less, reading more high-brow literature, weekly business trade journal analysis, and drinking less soda. I liked the notion of a better myself, but I never made it through week two. According to Forbes, just 8% of Americans follow through on their New Year’s goals. I was definitely in the 92 percentile. So, after seven years of living clean, eating a plant-based diet, doing yoga, power-walking, and utilising green products, I’ve compiled a list of 21 essential health tips to kickstart your 2021 New Year and beyond.

EATING CLEAN

Increase The Amount Of Fruits And Vegetables Served At Each Meal

Many academic and anecdotal findings strongly support plant-based diets. A range of colourful fruits and vegetables has been found to increase lifespan, illness prevention, and general wellbeing.

Always Have Nutritious Snacks On Hand

When nutritious food is around, it’s simple to avoid salty and sweet cravings. I make smoothies on the weekends and freeze them to take one out of the freezer in the morning and enjoy it as an afternoon snack. I also carry dried fruit, nuts, and popcorn in my glove bag.

Check out Spotify if you’re looking for guided imagery or other meditation materials. Headspace is still my favourite since I like the animated explanations and uncomplicated processes. However, I know that many people like Insight, Timer and Calm. If you have a few minutes, go over them and sample them to see which will work best for you.

Deepak Chopra Should Be Listened To

If you can’t visualise yourself meditating, take a stroll outside and listen to the Deepak Chopra Pandora channel. It’s soothing and effective as a stress reliever.

Find An Inspiring Place To Refuel

Allow yourself a few minutes each day to replenish your social batteries. Create a peaceful zone in your house or business. Allow yourself a few minutes to be, whether you pray, meditate, or write.

Make Up Your Own Power Catchphrase Or Slogan

The mind is a significant tool, and it is easy to get engrossed in negative ideas that pull us down. Find some mantras to employ (and repeat to yourself) when you’re feeling sad in an attempt to be our own cheerleader. “Be a fighter, not a worrier," “Be in love with your life," and “Don’t spoil a good day today by worrying about a terrible day yesterday" are just a few of the quotes that have stuck with me.

Ensure To Get A Decent Night’s Sleep On A Regular Basis

I had no idea how vital my cells were to renew and rejuvenate themselves via a good night’s sleep. Sleeping regularly is now part of my therapeutic routine. Yes, some evenings are more enjoyable than others. However, I’ve made sleep a lot higher priority during the last seven years.
